Sale Watch

It's just so pretty.
I tend to online shop but I rarely check out.  I put all the items that I would totally buy if I had the money in my cart and then anxiously await the day they go on sale.  In the good old days of the early recession this was always, but now I have to wait longer and longer for things to magically mark themselves down.

J. Crew has been killing it this fall with lots of bright colors, delectable fabrics, and classic design.  The only problem is with nice, fall-weight fabric comes significant price increases.  It's increased right out of my budget! You guys, I want this blazer.  Nay, NEED this blazer.  It's classic, a beautiful green, and I assume, very, very soft.  Plus, I'm a sucker for buttons and this one has gold buttons!  Pretty, pretty gold buttons.

It comes in more colors and is described in loving details by J. Crew:

Inspired by traditional British riding jackets, our newest wear-with-all third piece features a longer, leaner silhouette with a nipped-in waist for a flattering effect. Crafted in the same double-serge wool we use in our sleek structured suiting, it's the kind of jacket you'll wear—and love—for seasons to come (we're wearing ours riding subways, bicycles and, of course, horses). Fitted. Notch collar. Long sleeves. Welt pockets, interior pockets. Functional buttons at cuffs. Back vent. Fully lined. Hits at hip. Import. Dry clean.
I know, lots of detail but doesn't that just sound delightful?  A little pretentious, but overwhelmingly delightful.

It currently retails for $250.  That is double what I paid for a winter coat! I am not a splurger - not at all.  I will stalk this coat until it goes on sale and if it sells out I will stalk it on eBay and beyond if necessary.

Readers, if you see this jacket go on sale before I do, which is totally not likely but just in case, let me know.
