Sale Watch: Neon Edition

Adia Kibur Multi-Strand Neon Bead & Crystal Necklace
$174
So, it's a very neon Friday here at Metropolitan Fairytale.  As I mentioned earlier, neon is HUGE this spring.  Seriously, it's everywhere.

As a child of the nineties, I totally dig it.  I also love how you can pair it with more brights, or as I prefer, with nudes.

Last winter I bought a beautiful, flowing nude dress for a wedding in Mexico and at the time paired it with an Indian-inspired gold necklace.  This year, I'll be heading to Costa Rica for a little vaca and hope to dress down the frock for a nice, romantic dinner.

Ideally, I'll be wearing this bright little number to the left.  It's currently on Shopbop for $174, which is just a little too steep for a trend piece as far as I'm concerned.

I'm all for neon, but it's going to be short lived I believe. Our eyes can only take it for a season and it's going to be blinding Forever 21 shoppers for at least the next six months.  When it comes to trends, focus on the accessories and keep your big purchases classics.

Has anyone seen any great neon necklaces similar to the one here?  If not, I'll have my eye on this one for the next few months.

P.S. This is a great neon piece that's a good price and tons of fun.  It can add color to your everyday wardrobe! Love!

Neons and Nudes

A great thing happened this weekend!

New Year, New Me?

I love a New Year.  I also love, that due to my birthday being on the 4th, that I extend all New Years Resolutions until right about now.

As of right now, I feel icky and full.  I've been eating for 4 days straight and not depriving myself one bit.  It's easy to immediately jump on the "workout more" bandwagon, but I find that every year I do that, I just fail.

I will continue to work out and keep active but it's not a resolution, it just needs to stay part of my life.

I do have a few resolutions, however.  I figured that if I posted them online I would feel more inclined to follow through on them.  Some are vague, some are specific.  So here goes...
